You may be thinking, “Why do I need healing? Didn’t I come to this website to help my daughter/son/roommate/spouse/friend?” Yes, you did, and I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for caring so much about them. As a former self-harmer, I am so grateful for the friends, family, and even strangers along my journey of healing who helped me get through my darkest days. But I know that I wasn’t the only one affected by my self-harm. That is why I have created this section of the website. You are affected too. But their story is not your story. Even if healing never comes for them, it can still come for you. Some supporters feel guilt, shame, regret, and hopelessness. This is a safe place to process those emotions.
